I’m making the switch from FCP 7 to Adobe CC and I’m picking it up pretty quickly.
There are some things that I find really useful in FCP and just can’t figure out how to do in Premier.
The one I’m battling now is marking the in and out points of a clip in the timeline.
    FCP is Shift +A.
I can’t figure it out for Premier. Even if I switch to the FCP 7 keyboard layout it doesn’t work.

Is this one of those things that just won’t happen like Insert with default transition.

    Thanks

    Steve

Also Steve there are quite a few actions within PPro that don’t have a default keyboard shortcut attached to them. If you’re using the FCP7 layout then Trim & Ripple Trim next and previous edits to playhead would be the first ones I’d map to shortcuts.

    Cheers.

Thank you Alex, but I’m using the standard keyboard layout.
I want to be a Premiere editor, not a Final Cut Pro editor working on Premier.

[Steven Cohen] “I want to be a Premiere editor, not a Final Cut Pro editor working on Premier.”

From what I recall PPro’s default layout is pretty barren. It’s been a while since I used it though so maybe it’s gotten better. Don’t be afraid to create your own custom keyboard though, it’s why that feature is there. 😉

    Get yourself a Premiere keyboard.
