Copy and Paste all edit-points/adjustments from one video source to another
Hi there! I’m a new user to Adobe Premiere CC (and somewhat new to video editing in general) so I apologize if I’m not using the correct vocabulary.
I’m working with two videos that are to be overlaid for a tutorial (one video is a screen capture done on the computer, the other was a camera recording the monitor while a hand is motioning in front of it. The idea is that you get a screen capture but with a person’s hand gestures overlaid on top of the screen capture).
I thought I couldn’t locate the second camera, so I did all of my edits to just the screen capture… I did things like cut out and remove portions, and slow down video so the mouse movements are more deliberate and easier to see. Lots of cutting and rate adjustments.
I just now found the second camera footage and I want to match their starting points and apply all of those same cuts and rate changes to the new footage to overlay. I thought maybe I could copy/paste video channel one into video channel two and re-link the source footage for video two (and then Slip the footage all at once into the correct starting position)… but the problem is that it replaces both channels (because they share the same source footage) and I only want to replace the copied channel of video.
Does that make sense? I’m not sure how to go about doing this without having to go through the pain of syncing/overlaying the two to begin with and then re-doing all of my edits, which will probably take several hours to re-do.

Even if you create a new sequence and export new timecode onto new matching matching the edit’s media, there is no way, I can think of, to relink the cut.
Maybe there is a nifty multicam solution, but I am not familiar with multicam. But by the time you investigate that and figure it out, you could have the thing re-cut.
