  • Keep all tracks stereo/split and export as split/stereo no mono?

I have C300 footage I’m Importing and would like to adjust speed in a Premiere timeline and export the video and audio tracks all as stereo or split tracks through and through, no mono.

As far as I can tell I have everything set up to be stereo. I Import the clips, the master clips play split audio each a different mix, meaning lav on one track and boom on the other track. When I put the clips into my timeline, which as far as I can tell is set-up to be stereo, Premiere’s timeline suddenly plays the stereo tracks mixed or mono – meaning track one and two are the same. Then when I export the clips, even with stereo selected, the tracks export each as a duplicated tracks – as in audio track one is the same as track two. I need the audio to be preserved with lav on one and boom on two.

New to Premiere, and this seems odd, and I only see people posting about converting their tracks to mono. If someone can give step-by-step instructions to get this audio correct, it would be extremely helpful. I’m used to working in Avid, but I know that even FCP handle this the way I am thinking this should be done.

    Thank you.
