  Changing colors in Premiere CS6

  How do you make a color matte change colors?
  I’ve tried the effects Change Color and Change to Color and they just haven’t worked. I’m obviously doing something wrong. I’d like to keyframe the effect.
  A simple solution is to create different mattes and just apply cross fades between them – but when creating a matte the eye dropper is unavailable to pick your color, and I’m working with a very specific color palette.

  (I’m a FCP user obviously new to Adobe)

  You can double-click the color matte in your bin or on your timeline to change the color.
