  How to crop an image/clip and add shadow?

  I’m finding a few thing that were quicker (or at least more readily apparent) in FCP, though for the most part i am liking Premiere better and see great potential. I’ve google search for these items, and what i’ve found seems terribly convoluted to simply add a shadow (to a lower third here), or to a shrunken clip that is resized in Premiere. Also not finding a quick way to crop and image or clip in Premiere (CC7)

  Anyone?

  The Effects window has a search box: type in Shadow which will give you Drop Shadow.
  Type in crop which will give you the Crop effect.

  Ooops. Ya, thanks Ann. I meant After Effects. I do like that search feature in Premiere. Pretty dang cool!

  AE has drop shadow and for cropping use a mask.
