  PROBLEM!! 25fps 1080p DSLR Footage – Slowed Down In Timeline

  HI guys,
  I’m new to this forum, I hope you can help me.

  I’m working with dslr footage h264 25fps from nikon D800 and premier pro CC. I have been working on a project since few days and every thing was fine. Now suddenly the footage, booth in timeline and in the source monitor, occasionally skips backwards and the audio sounds slowed down. the properties of the original footage and timeline are identical 25fps. Any one can help me???

  How does the clip play if you encode it?

  HI Ivan,
  after reading your post I opened premier pro to try to encode one of the clip and today everything it works fine… I did close and open the app few time yesterday but did not solve the problem.. I don’t know. Your suggestion is a good test, if happen again I will try to see what happen. I would like to work without encoding because I have 100 GB of footage from different cameras and I would prefer to work with raw footage. I am an avid editor, I just switched to premier pro cc for this reason. Even with media composer 7 the DSLR footage imported with link to AMA still not smooth when you play it in timeline or source monitor. avid suggest to have 16gb ram, I have 8 but with premier pro raw material works perfect.

  If the problems comes back I will ask again for your help! 🙂

  To rule out the possibility of storage/hardware issues, clean the cache, manually delete any cached files, and check the available capacity of your hard drives.
