Working with Premiere Pro CS5 on Mac OSX 10.8.4. I’m the editor for a video project. camera crew used Canon and Sony cameras so I have .AVI and .MOV files to work with. Before I begin pulling clips into the timeline should I expect quality issues because i am using two file types on the same timeline?

    Thanks,

There might be a difference in quality but not because of the file extensions. The wrapper is not important, but the capabilities of the two cameras (optics, sensors, image management, operator settings, codecs, compression schemes) plus lighting, etc. could potentially impact image quality. Are these consumer cameras, prosumer, dslr, professional?

    No.
