Shot in 60p – Edit in 24p, 30p, or 60p?
I recently shot some video with the GoPro Hero3 Black. I shot in 60p because I wanted to have the flexibility to slow down some (not all) of the shots while still having good looking footage. I’ve run into a few basic workflow issues and am not quite sure what to do. I’ve read a ton of conflicting information on the internet and decided its time to ask for help.
I am editing in premiere pro.Should I set my timeline to be in 24p, 30p, or 60p?
If its in 24p or 30p, I get the red bars above my media in the timeline saying I need to render everything because its supposed to be at 60p. However, if its at 60p, I don’t have the extra frames available to slow it down to get the smooth slow motion. Additionally, if I set it to 24p, I end up having to drop frames so should I set it 30p?This seems like a really basic question but it’s thrown me off all day.
