Watching Audio in the View Window
Hi,
I am currently switching from FCP to PPro. Now, I have two questions, where I cannot find the equivalent to the FCP way:
1. I want to make a Freeze Frame from a moment on the time line and generate a still Clip from it, In FCp that’s super simple, just press Shift+N and you have a new clip which consists of the current position of the Cursor in the TL. Anything like that inPPro?
2. When I double click a clip, to open in the viewer window, in FCP you have a separate tab of the Audio of the clip in which you can see the waveform. I do not seem to have this in PPro. How come?

It seems the only way I found, is to Alt+Double Click the Audio part to open it separately in the Viewer Window, but I’d still like to have Video and Audio together, just switch by changing the Tab.
Also: When I have the Audio opened in the viewer Window (viewer is active window), and I do the short cut for zoom in&out, it zooms on the TL, not the Audio in the viewer.
What is the short Cut then for Zooming into my Audio?Thanx.

Can you explain in more detail how you got this to work? I cannot bring up audio by alt-double click.
I’m trying to view the audio waveform and video at the same time, the way FCPX allows. Is that what you’re trying to do as well?

I just double clicked the Audio Track on the TL while holding down the ALT key (on MAC!) and then it opens the Audio Waveform in the viewer, but unfortunately, it’s only the Audio.
I want, like in FCP 7 and all previous versions, to double click my clip in the timeline and it all opens in the Viewer (in different tabs of course): Video, Audio, Motion control and so on.Any idea how to do it?
Really drives me nuts, that I cannot.Greetings,
