    Hello,

Imported footage shot in 1080p from iphone 5 (H.264 in .mov container) into Premiere Pro cs5. Playback is glitchy (image pixelates in a pulsing rhythm, worse when there is motion in the shot) in both the viewer window and the timeline window.

Exported from timeline to .mp4, with same attributes (frame rate, frame size, data rate), and playback was fine in the exported file. Also, when I pause the timeline, individual frame renders perfectly without glitches.

Tried transcoding before I imported (just changed it to .mp4 container) this helped, but not perfect. Still some pixelation in motion.

Explanation if not solution? Started working with Premiere instead of FCP 7 b/c transcoding was a slower workflow than working with tapes, so going back to transcoding would defeat the purpose of changing platforms.

The problem is that the glitchiness is incredibly distracting when trying to refine edits.

    Thanks for considering.
