ok, i know this has probably been addressed 100’s of times already but apologies, i can’t see my answer…

i’ve got a comp set up in AE as NTSC widescreen 720×480 Pixel Aspect Ratio D1/DV NTSC Widescreen. I need to render it out for widescreen dvd. I render it using the Animation codec. Set up a widescreen project in iDVD. Burn a dvd and it comes out….. squashed. 4:3.

Have i set it up right? when i use the Toggle Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction it looks perfect. Is this a problem with iDVD?

any answers/suggestions would be greatfully recieved before i go hang myself with a digital rope.

    thanks in advance.

In DVD Studio Pro you set a flag for 16:9 or widescreen. Maybe iDVD has the same thing.

Make sure your DVD-player is setup properly. Many models don’t auto-switch between different ratios properly, you have to manually configure them.
