I am exporting my HDV from PrPro CS5.5 and I’m getting vertical jitter of the video to a h.254/mp4 file and also Apple TV 720, and other similar formats when I use 24p. If I change the frame rate to 29.97 it works fine.
I have tried changing the field in the encoder to upper or lower and I still see it. the image jiggles up and down very slightly, like film in a projector.
It is especially noticeable with graphics. have you seen this before?
    How do I correct this.

    Hi Alan,

Any export for computer playback should be PROGRESSIVE, no fields, that is likely the issue you are seeing.

In the field order I have also tried the default: None(Progressive)
and still have the jitter at 24 fps.

I have updated media encoder to 5.5.1.12 and it seems to have solved the problem.

I retract that. No it didn’t solve the problem. I guess Adobe jsut doesn’t support24p.

I’m Probably too late, but I ran into this thread when I had the same problem exporting h264 at 24fps.

When you export, at the bottom there is the option to tick “Use Frame Blending” I checked that and it fixed everything.

your not too late. I gave up on 24 fps and went with 30 instead.
    This is good to know!

    Thanks
