  Thumbnails in Media Brower with Canon 7D footage?

  Is there a way to view Canon 7D footage with thumbnails in the media browser? Currently the only view I can have is the “File directory” view. AVCHD is greyed out and I can not select it.

  Unfortunately, no. But, you could run Bridge which CAN look at the camera, copy media to a location you pick, import into Premiere Pro for you (and optionally backup from inside of bridge as well.)
