AVCHD to Premier
G’day
Sorry to ask the same question thats been asked 100 times already but I’m just after a definitive answer. I have searched but am still left wondering.
Ive been using APP for a few years now but its always been pretty basic digital camera type stuff. Just landed myself a gig doing some editing for a bloke that does nat geo/IMAX type stuff. My dream job, but the cameras that I’m getting footage of now are AVCHD or .mts files.
Am I wasting my time trying to keep the quality when changing format for import into APP or is there a decent way to do it in CS4?
Should I just cut my losses and go Vegas?Some of the stuff is for private DVD’s also from guided trips etc so what format/settings would be best for that?

If you’re going to cut your losses and go to Vegas…why not upgrade to the current version with a decent CUDA card. AVCHD works great with it.
Yes, you’re going down a generation when you change formats (you’re changing it to what?)
