  Premiere Pro CS5 – VOB file issues

  I’m working with Premiere pro CS5 on a machine with windows 7… My client has provided me with some dvd’s that he needs edited (they are his from a tv show he produced) and i’m having some troubles with the .vob files. On some occasions the tv show on the dvd is split into 2 .vob files and when I put them together in Premiere pro, there are about 3 frames missing from the second clip which causes an irritating glitch in the playback. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I opened the file in VLC player and it shows it’s fine, not missing anything… I also tried editing right off the dvd, same problem.

  My second problem is that some of the .vob’s have the audio on the second track. Adobe doesnt seem to support the second audio track.. If it does, how do I make it work because I just keep having problems.

  I think you need to pull the video and audio out of the vobs – the common method is to use MPEGStreamclip. I’m not sure if/how it handles the second audio track.
