how to make my yellow timeline turn red to get it to turn green
hello
I am using an Octacore with 12GB RAM. I got Premiere CS5 and my project is HDV 720p.
When I am importing rendered TIF sequences and put them into my timeline Premiere won’t allow me to prerender them (yellow line). As a result I can’t watch my edit fluently because with the Hires TIFs it’s very jerky and somtimes gets completely stuck while playing. I’d like to be able to pre-render them (from red to green), ideally by changing settings, but I can’t find out how to do that. It’s always yellow clips – which is very hard to work with..
Any ideas? -

You’ll want to select your timeline (click into it so it’s focused) then in your menu under sequence, you’ll want to select “Render Entire Work Area”
This will render the yellow to green. Pressing enter or “Render Effects in Sequence” will only render the red portion.

thanx! it didnt work like i wanted, but i found a workaround, when i changed the settings to ignore alpha the footage would have to be rendered in the cache (made turn green) and hence was editable better.
