I have been using the same camera, a Canon S80, and using the same video software, Premiere Elements 3, for a couple years. This is the first time I’ve ever had this problem. The video from the Canon S80 initially looks fine on my computer. However, when I import it into a Premiere project, a vertical line of distortion appears on the right side of the frame.

The only thing I can think of is that I reinstalled my operation system and Premiere. Perhaps something went arwy with the installation. Any help fixing this problem will be appreciated.

Most likely it’s not a problem with Premiere or your OS. As far as I know that camera isn’t made for actually shooting editable video. Meaning using a professional video editing software.

However, if I were very intent on making a video with that, I’d simply stretch the vid out to get that line out of the image.

Just adjust the width of the video and move it to the right, maybe that will help.
