Just CANNOT get premiere to capture!
I am very new to this so I apologise if my post is very simple or a stupid mistake, thanks in advance for any feedback you can give me.
When I try to capture from a MiniDV camcorder in Premiere Pro CS3 however the capture window shows odd blocks appearing all over the image in different places, like digital interference on digital tv. If I capture like this the video plays back with the interference, regardless of which player I use (VLC, windows media or in PP). It also reports many frames are dropped.
I have tried with 2 different Cameras, with the same result. I have checked all the basic settings such as making sure the project settings are setup for PAL (I am based in the UK). I also get exactly the same result when trying to capture from other programs, such as WinDV and DV Capture.
Although less important, if I do capture the distorted image in Premiere, when in the source window, the timecode starts at 8:06:40:00 running to 00:00:02:02.
I have no idea where to start in solving this problem, so any help on what I should do next is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
