  Adobe Premiere 7 question

  Hi,

  I just bought Adobe Premiere Elements 7 and I think I figured out how to use some of the program.

  I made a video of my son and I burned it onto a DVD. The problem is that the DVD doesn’t play in my standalone DVD player.

  Did I do something wrong? Is there another way to do this?

  I hear people talk about Nero but I don’t have that. I have something called Cyberlink DVD Suite and Windows DVD Maker, Windows Movie Maker and other Windows stuff.

  I’m not very technical. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

  I’ve never used Cyberlink to burn a DVD. In Nero, you have the option to Verify the burn. Perhaps CyberLink has something similar.

  Always use brand name media
  Burn DVD-Video at the slowest available speed

  Also, more fundamental, are you sure you are burning an actual DVD-Video, and not simply burning a movie file onto a DVD.

  Just a few ideas.

  Hi, how do you burn at the slowest available speed?

  Adobe PE doesn’t give you an option.

  I’m using a Memorex DVD and it says 8x on it. Not sure what that means.

  If it’s an 8X disc, that’s probably the maximum read/write speed.
  Memorex should be good.
  I’ve never used PE, but I don’t think PP give you a speed option either.
  Generally, I’d recommend that you burn with dedicated burning software, that allows more control over the burn process.
