  Adobe Premier and 60fps

  Hello,
  I just bought a HVX205A and I am really excited to use all the cool new features on it. I am having a problem with shooting Variable frame rates and previewing them. I shot at 60fps in FilmCam and nowhere can I preview the clip at 60fps. Not on the P2 card not in Premier, I made three different projects 720 30p, 720 24p, and 720 60p. 30p makes the clip look like normal video, 24p puts some sort of motion blur on the clip and 60p makes it look like 30p. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Does anybody know how to make this look like 60fps? DO I need to slow down the speed/duration to get an actual 60fps? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

  I don’t ‘know’ the answer – I hope this thread get’s some better answers, but…
  I assume you mean 60P. If so, I’m not sure if there are any video standards that use that frame rate, yet.
  Right now, I could only see that being good for a slow motion shot.
  Or, you’ll end up having to drop half of your frames to get the video to fit into a standard.

  As to how to capture 60P, I’m not sure.

  I’d pick a format that matches your desired playback media.

  Just some thoughts.

  It isnt a capture process because of the P2. I think I may have figured it out. It is a matter of something in Premier recognizing the type of file which has been shot. I think it may be different than 60p, 60fps is playing like 30fps on my monitor but once I use the speed duration and slow the clip down I recognize that there is no frame blending and the motion looks smooth. I just dont understand why it doesnt come into Premier at 60fps. I dont know why I have to make it that way

  Hello Scott. I know this is off topic, but I see that you have an HVX205a and I am looking for more information on that camera. If you could help me that would be greatly appreciated.
  From what I gather it is the Japanese version of the HVX200a. What are the major differences between the two? Is everything in english on the camera and in the menus? Can you find a manual for the 205a in English? Where did you buy your camera from? Is there anything to look out for when buying this camera on the web?
  Again any help is greatly appreciated.
