Editing out bad scan lines in video
I have some old analog videos that I am trying to edit for storage on a DVD. I have digitized the videos and stored them on my computer. My old camera was defective. The result was that white lines appear on the video traveling from top to bottom. Is there any way I can edit these lines out?

Thats a tough one. Deinterlacing the video could help smooth the abberation. But, there a number of deinterlacing techniques.
It’s possible that the damage exists only in either the upper or lower fields. If so, you could potentially eliminate the lines completely, but you’d lose half of your vertical resolution by using a field doubling deinterlacing technique.
