  VOB to AVI etc

  Pity a poor medic still editing in Premiere 5.1. Our hospital league of friends have just bought us a medical grade DVD recorder to record keyhole surgery but it burns in vob/ifo. I need to edit for educational programme. Any suggestions re the best, safest(download) software to convert to standard video formats for editing gratefully received.

  Cinematize works well on unencrypted disks. Don’t know about the others except from a google search.
