Server Encoder
Our company is new to sending out videos to our employees. Our IT area is using Microsoft Expression Encoder to load on our servers. The quality is awful. It looks like the Pro (paid) version is no longer available for purchase. What encoder software should I suggest to our IT area?

Are you asking what should they use for encoding?
Or how should they encode the video?
Some flavor of MP4 would be the most likely encoding type…
what to use?
Why not Adobe Media Encoder?
kind of depends on what the workflow is (volume, contributors)…

We are trying to get away from using flash player.

I send our IT the file and they upload it to a SharePoint site. They send us a link and we send out the link.

Is the video embedded in some sort of web page or presentation?
if they just see it playing back in some sort of player in their desktop then the transition to a new format should be pretty painless..
if it’s a component of a designed content (power point, website, etc) then it becomes an authoring question…

It’s the blind leading the blind! I give her the file and she uploads it on a web server. It’s beautiful on my machine and everyone’s monitor in my department. We are just sending out to all home office employees so they are watching it on their PC
