    Hi all

I have 2 Mac computers. Each with the latest versions of premier pro. Im capturing video8 from a camera using firewire.

This morning when i began my video8 capture, the audio has a constant popping noise. I have tried a number of things from restarting, trashing the prefs, trying different hard drives to capture too and nothing has worked. I have also tried my second machine and the same thing is occuring.

Monitoring the audio from the camera and the sound is fine. Its in the transfer or so i thought.

I then used a different capture program called Vidi and this has managed to successfully capture the video and audio with no problems.

Can anyone shine a light on what could have messed up premiere pro as it has been isolated to that.

    Thanks a lot

Most MiniDV and D8 camcorders will record 16-bit 48k audio by default, but a few may offer 12-bit 32k audio recording. Make sure the capture spec matches what is on the tape or it can cause strange issues.

    Thanks
