how to edit 4k and 3k footage in same project?
Hey guys,
I am trying to figure out how to work with both 4k and 3k footage in the same sequence in premiere? If I scale the settings to fit 4k then the 3k footage is too small and if I scale it for 3k then the 4k shots are cut off because they are too big for the project monitor. How do you deal with various footage sizes like this? Thanks!

You can fit your footage right clicking your clips and selecting “scale to frame size” from the contextual menu… You can also set this behaviour as default in you preferences but it will work on your newly created sequences…
It’s obviously better to downscale rather than upscale but it depends on your workflow and delivery format…

Well…yes. Or zoom in on the 4K footage and reposition shots. What were you expecting to be able to do? If you want both to fill the frame, then you need to either blow up the 3K, or shrink the 4k.
