  • Subtitling in Premiere: from FCP- migrating to- Premiere

    Hello,

I’m migrating a FCP project that has subtitles (foreign language film).

When I migrated to Premiere, all the subtitles are intact (although Premiere doesn’t have a matching font, but that’s okay), but the position/alignment of the subtitles are way off.

Is there a way to change the position of ALL the subtitles at once, as opposed to having to change it
one at a time for all? which would take forever.

    Thank you for your help!

well you could set 1 of the subtitles to where you like it and then save that “motion” as a preset then select all the subtitles and apply the saved “motion” preset.

    Thanks Jerry,

I tried to copy and paste the attributes and check the motion, but it didn’t work.

Have you done this before? and worked?

    yes i just did it.
so you place 1 of your titles in the correct place using the “motion” tab.
right click on “Motion” tab and select “Save Preset”.
select all of your titles on your timeline and go to the “presets” folder in “effects”.
drag the “motion” preset to your selected titles in the timeline.
