  Cross Dissolve & Mosaic Masks

  Hi,

  I used a Mosaic fx to blur out patient names on a video. The clip comes from the lab tech talking to a shot of test tubes with patient names on them. I used a Cross Dissolve between the two clips and a black oval from the mosaic shows for a split second during the transition. How do I get rid of this without a hard cut?

  I know a transition blends the two clips together. And there seems to be a “cost” associated with this. How do I avoid it?

  Nest the clip with the blur.

  Thanks Ann! I seem to either not understand Nesting appropriately or there is something preventing it from working. Any other suggestions for me?
