  • Choppy playback on Premiere Pro cc2015 from Iphone

The quality looks fine on the Iphone 6s with no jerk at all. Then when it’s imported onto the PC either play in Premiere it’s slightly jerky.
This is only really noticeable on a horizontal or vertical pan.

I’m guessing it might be a codec issue and ,if so, what should I go for?

    Thanks

Is is jerky because playback isn’t smooth? Try lowering the quality in the bottom of the preview window. Is it jerky because the footage somehow looks different? Try checking your interpret footage settings and sequence settings.

I can’t really help more unless I know why it’s jerky. Got any more details?

Chris it’s only jerky on panning landscape or horizontal. It is jerky also when played outside of premiere pro by windows media player etc.

When played on iphone or airshared on TV it plays without any issues.

When I right click on the file it displays at 1920/1080 29 frames per second.

    Thanks

Where did you get this footage? I’d just transcode it and see if that helps. Whatever codec you want.

Took it on the iphone 6s. What should I transcode it to though?

    Thanks

its probably that variable framerate stuff that adobe can’t read.
I recommend using handbrake to encode as quicktime png so you won’t lose any quality.
