I am trying to edit together 3 .mp4 files that are each about 30 minutes long. When I import these files into premiere, only the first 10 minutes or so will import. I can view the videos in their entirety in Windows Media and I was able to import them fully in the Camtasia editor, but I was unable to import them fully into any Adobe software. I had a friend of mine try to open the video in their copy of premiere, and they had the same results. Both of us are working in CS5. Any thoughts?

Don’t know why that’s happening, but if I were in your situation, I’d see if I can transcode the clips to something else.

    Thanks for your response!

I ended up having to do that. I was hoping that I could find a fix so I wouldn’t have to worry about it in the future. I know I’ve used .mp4s before with no problem, so it was likely something to do with how these specific files were encoded.
