    Hello All,

I’m in Premiere and I’m editing footage with multiple formats; ProRes and PSD layers. I’ve added quite a few effects, Red Giant, ketframes, etc…

When I’m playing my sequence, the playback will suddenly stop. I try to push spacebar again, nothing happens. I can still save, preview clips in the source monitor, even shift items in the TL around, however… I CAN NOT play the sequence.

My system config is as follows

    Trash Can MAc 12-Core
    64 GB Ram
    PCIE Flash 1GB
    Adobe Premiere Pro cc 2015
    Thunderbolt Hard Drive

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    And I forgot to mention…

Rendering for my PSD layers of extremely slow. I’m talking several seconds per frame.

    Ash!

Ashley, did the issue begin after you moved to CC2015? Or did it exist prior to that update?

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF.

Definitely after the update… But I had other issues with the previous.

    🙁

You aren’t running with El Capitan, right? Because right now at least, that is a big “nope” for CC2015.

    I’m still on Yosemite…

Do you think it might be the JPEG sequence? Maybe the codec is super hard for premiere to read? I dunno. I’m scratching my head gear. I have to constant restart my computer. I try to render, it doesn’t freeze, but the tender us halted. I have to quit premiere, which then causes it to freeze. Then restart the computer, I can then get a good 20-30 working minutes out of it. Then back to problems.

    Ash!
