What is the most efficient way to reduce audio range on a clip and/or track in Premiere Pro CC?
As the subject says.
The highest audio is too high whereas the lowest audio is too low. -

The first thing I would try is dropping the “Dynamics” audio effect on it, and seeing if I can get a setting that adjusts things how I like them. Some compression and limiting may get the job done if you don’t have too much background noise.

to add to what Jon said…
if you can move all the items from that source on their own track…
this can be applied at the track level in the mixer (as opposed to clip the clip level)

Do you mean using the track mixer’s volume control manually while playing to record “better” volume levels on the fly? -
No I’m saying that the effect Jon speaks of can be applied in the audio mixer at the track level…
as opposed to applying it to clips…
so if u have material as a group that needs this treatment…
putting them all on the same track might be helpful….
