Creating a Single clip from multiple Dslr clips
I don’t know whether this has been asked before I would like to know is it possible to create a single long clip from multiple clips that are shot sequentially with mixed time gap between each shot? Its like this- a 5D shot 50 clips from morning 10AM till 2PM and the total duration of the shots are 100 mins. I would like to create a 4 hour long clip(10AM-2PM) with gaps of blank/black between each shot. Is it possible using any tool or software?

I’ve shot 30mins on a Canon 700d, and the camera split it into three different files due to file size restrictions. My Macbook recognises the first video file in the sequence, but not the second two files and it won’t open them in QT, VLC or Final Cut Pro 7.
It seems like the second two aren’t self-contained files, but are like appendices to the first file or something.
The footage I need is in the third file, so this is really annoying! Any help would be much appreciated!

Why can’t you bring the footage into your favorite NLE and string them in a timeline with the duration of black you want in between and then export as one long clip?

Manually it can be done. But I am looking for an automated solution.
