I’m trying to export a project so that the compression matches the compression in a different piece of footage. The total bitrate of the original footage is 46381kbps and the data rate is 44846kbps.

The project I’m trying to compress consists of a still image with the noise effect applied. When compressed, this noise turns into artefacting, which is what I want.

Although changing the bitrate is making it more compressed, the size of the artefacts doesn’t match the original.

Does anybody know how I’d go about getting smaller, tighter artefacts like this:

    and not this:

    ?

I’ve been exporting it using H.264 to MP4 and a constant bitrate.
