Premier Pro NTSC Conforming 23.97 to 1080i 29.9- Broadcast
Hello All,
This is my first post on this forum! My company is currently shooting a project in Red Bank, NJ. It is our first major broadcast advertisement project that we have done. (Nervous) We are shooting 1080p 23.97 (24fps). We are shooting it in that frame rate purely for aesthetic purposes (Clients want a filmic look). I understand that NTSC HD TV is Interlaced and not progressive. My question is if we continue to shoot 24p, will we be able to deliver in 1080i 29.97fps without affecting the quality of the package? What steps would need to be taken to conform the fps to 29.97? I know there is a way to do it in AE using a 3:2 pulldown but this paticular export setting isn’t available (MPEG-HD) only (MPEG-2).
