  Multichannel outputs downmixing

  So we need to export our video files for a client with dialogue on one channel and music/fx on another channel. The editor and I are perplexed as as we have assigned the tracks to channels in the track audio mixer and in the sequence (although the new interface in 2015 is a bit confounding). Our sequence is set up for multichannel but no matter what we do, the tracks get mixed down in the export process. We are exporting to quicktime files and setting up the channels in the export window but we need two mono channels and it mixes down no matter what we select. What are we doing wrong?
