does anyone else have this problem – (mac)

when i hide AE7pro it dissapears fine – but when i want to go back into the programme it doesn’t appear again –
it says its running but will not show on screen – so i have to force quit the application and restart.

i’ve phoned adobe but they havent heard of the probelm – its very intermittant.

any experiences with this would be appreciated

    cheers.

Yeah, it’s some sort of bug. You should double-click on the app name at the top of the window to minimize, or use cmd-tab to switch between open apps.

Darn, with all those bugs, I have every reasons to be happy with AE 6.5 .

    Or, should I?

That’s the only issue I’ve seen on this Mac.

And it can also be circumvented by hitting cmd+ctrl+H to hide the app.

In my experience it can happen any way you hide it, be it by alt-clicking on the desktop or another application, choosing hide-this, choosing hide others etc.

The real Workaround is indeed minimising so the miniature window sits in your dock.

On the plus side: the app’s still responsive, so you can switch back and do an “increment & save” in the dark:

just click on the icon in the dock
    hit “Shift-Option-Command-S”,
then do a force-quite or even a regular Command-Q may work. (if there are no invisible nagging dialogs preventing ou from quitting.

Happens at least 3 times a day to me.

funny how theie are a few people with this problem – yet when i phoned adobe they hadn’t heard of it !!

luckily so far i havn’t lost any major work (the new auto save is a life saver !!!)

it’s just a little annoying and embarrising when working with a client and your expensive software doesn’t work !!

i’ll just have to make do for now until adobe release an update !!!

    cheers guys.
