WTF?!?!?! 2015 does NOT PLAY AT ALL!
Posted by Ze’ev Gilad on June 30, 2015 at 8:44 amCome on, Adobe, get it together!
After editing for 2 hours, Premiere 2015 does NOT PLAY ANYTHING AT ALL on my system.
Only shows still frames.Tried deleting all the cache/db/media crap. Nothing.
And, of course, I can no longer open my project in 2014, it’s a new format.
Thanks, Adobe, you guys are so on the ball.

June 30, 2015 at 12:48 pmYou’re kidding, right?
Turns out a bunch of people are having this issue on the Adobe forum.
I just finished a chat with Adobe Tech Support.
After 3 hours of diddling around my machine, he finally said “sorry, I need to to escalate this, we’ll be in touch within 48 hours.”What a colossal waste of time.

June 30, 2015 at 1:00 pmYou may have missed the point.
YOU are making the QC of the latest version.
If you don’t want that, just stay at least one version behind.
Especially behind x.0 versions. -

June 30, 2015 at 1:08 pmNo, not kidding, it really does work, just like my copy of 2015. Context around posts are an important thing. Not sure if your are just venting, looking for help or something else.
Even posting your configuration can help, if others are having problems with the same config or are not, helps to narrow down which systems are having the problem.

June 30, 2015 at 7:27 pmHave you tried exporting your project as an XML and opening up that XML in CC2014?
[Ze'ev Gilad] “I wish Adobe would try to make things STABLE and actually WORK and FIX BUGS

July 1, 2015 at 8:00 amHi,
I don’t recommend updating project files. Wait till you’re done with your CC 2014 project before moving on. Here’s my blog: https://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2015/06/16/updating-and-backing-up-project-files-best-practices/It’s actually an editors long standing R.O.T.
Thanks,

July 1, 2015 at 10:51 amYep. My first trial at opening a 2014 project in 2015 resulted in the age-old .mts files suddenly being ‘unsupported’ issue. The (also) age-old fix of renaming the base folder for the files took care of it, but that was enough to abandon the trial with a live project.

July 3, 2015 at 12:28 amHi,
Sorry my first response was more snarky than helpful. Others have solved this issue by adjusting Audio Hardware preferences: https://forums.adobe.com/message/6497216#6497216Thanks,

July 3, 2015 at 2:43 amhad this issue not long ago, when I had CC2014. Turns out it was nVidia driver’s fault. I updated to newer driver and it fixed the issue.

August 1, 2015 at 1:45 amYa, man there are a lot of people in this boat, it’s a major bug that is not persisting in 9.0.1. hopefully your not too far into the project but just export an xml and reinstall 8.2 and import the xml. They can actually both installed on the system at the same time.
Sucks but I’m sure they will have it fixed soon. There are a ton of people complaining over on the adobe forums.
