  Pixellated png animation in Adobe Premiere

  Hello I am having a problem creating an animation in premiere.

  Here’s my workflow:

  Create a vector in Adobe Illustrator > save for web Png24 with transparency > Open in premiere (looks fine) > press play in premiere (looks interlaced and pixellated).

  Can anyone advise what is going wrong?

  Sounds like you have Adaptive Resolution turned on. There’s a little menu below your Program monitor on the right hand side. It has several options: Full, 1/2, 1/4, etc. I’d bet that you have it set to 1/2 or 1/4. Premiere uses this setting to save processor power by not drawing footage at its full resolution when previewing. Set it to Full, and your playback may be a bit slower…but it will look like it should. This does not affect your output–it’s a setting for Timeline previews only.

  Hi thanks for your reply,

  the problem is not just playback in premiere. I tried exporting the clip and still get the same jagged footage when viewing.

  How do I create a vector in illustrator and insert it into a video in premiere and not have it distort and by jaggy when you press play?
