    hi,
i watched a video (like spinning plates) on youtube a long time ago and have been wrecking brain how they have made everything look so aestically perfect. Would anyone know how to go about creatining that effect. I took a guess at using 3d stroke but everything looks to real for it to be.
baffeled if anyone could help would be much appricated.
    thanks

Hey, that’s a cool variation on a really old trick. We used to do it in high school photo class. Take a 35mm camera and set it up on a tripod to use a bulb exposure, hold open the shutter, and let someone take a flashlight or lighter and draw in the air. Hit your flashbulb and clost the shutter, and you’ve got a really cool light. Then you can take it apart and push it around in AE.

3D track the scene. In a 3D program just make artistic splines and use them in a sweepnurbs to create the stroke. Lay out these objects in the scene so they correspond to filmed/taped objects. Render out. In AE glow them up and do some simple roto for the pillars to punch them out. comp back on top.

The glowing lines are simple, I just think the impressive thing is the 3D tracking and parallax that makes it interesting.
