LG 29UM65 Ultrawide panel – Anyone using this for editing?
Posted by Rick Connolly on February 16, 2015 at 12:05 pmBroke one of my LED panels the other day. Considering this unit, but wondering if there are any compatibility issues.
Thanks

February 16, 2015 at 12:50 pmWell… It’s a monitor. If your GPU can deal with the larger resolution of the panel it’ll work.

February 16, 2015 at 4:15 pmYes true but Specs dont always mean no trouble.
But let me add that I’m looking for people who are actually using it to know if it is worth it, if the few extra inches and width are practical.
Did you feel it was useful considering the price for editing purposes, and if you had any issues at all while using it?
Thanks

February 17, 2015 at 2:56 pmI have the LG 34UM95. I have been working with it for over a month. I went from a bulky 2 monitor setup to this and it is great! I have a lot of desktop space for my aps. Yes if your GUI card can handle the higher rez, it is a good deal.

February 17, 2015 at 3:36 pmI have 2 HP 27″ monitors right now. Of course working with that “gap” between the two monitors is a bit annoying. Did you find that going to the one wide display was adequate to work the timeline with?
Thanks
