  Media Relink issues in Premiere Pro CC 2014 8.1

  Got a funny problem that’s been cropping up. Some media for a project had to be shifted to another drive (not all the media, just 5 clips). Premiere asks to reconnect the media every time I start up. It connects fine, and I can edit as normal, but if I change edit rooms or quit out or open a different project, etc, I have to reconnect that media. I’ve tried connecting and saving, connecting then saving AS, and opening that up. Nothing.

  Super weird to me. Any hints? We’re running new Mac Pros…

  Check folder permissions — also is “another drive” set to ignore ownership.

  I have seen this be a problem with proxies having to reconnect each time and it was a permissions problem.

  I don’t remember exactly, that was quite a ways ago. But I would suggest duplicating the project, and “replace footage” with the footage on whatever drive it’s on, rather than relinking. That *should* do it.
