  • Source to Timeline delay when working with WAV files

It’s hard to remember exactly which version of Premiere this started with, but whenever I have a WAV file loaded in the Source window, I experience a 3-4 second delay every time I switch from Source to Timeline or vice versa. It’s like it’s not conforming audio files or something. There are no other ill effects, but it seems like Premiere should be able to go from reading a ProRes file to a WAV file without slowing down my workflow… If I’m doing something with a lot of edits, like say pulling lots of audio selections and dropping them into the timeline, it can get really annoying. And I don’t remember this happening before CC 2014. Anyone else notice this and any way to fix?

I’m working on a MacPro, 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 4096 MB with the latest versions of Adobe software and Yosemite.
