i have a rotating globe (prerendered ) onto which i want to track some arrows to indicate a voyage. the globe rotates in an asymetrical manner and i want the arrows to follow the movement of the sphere. whats the best solution to do this? do i really have to set keframes at every spot and do it manually?
thx – any help would be much appreciated

Have you considered re-creating the animation yourself? The Blue Marble maps are freely downloadable from NASA and can be used with CC Sphere. This would allow you to integrate your arrows easily. At least you should download some low-res version of the maps as a placeholder and align your arrows in a sub-comp. When using this on CC Sphere you should be able to align your stuff more easily.

thanks – gives the problem a new perspective. to clear it up a little: i did the prerendered animation in a 3d application- and mapped an old 19th century map onto the globe- then rendered. a quick googlesearch showed me i could have done all the mapping work in AE itself 😉 –>>>https://www.creativecow.net/articles/mylenium/layered_earth/index.html
since i dont really want to redo the whole animation in AE (and i cant find the ccsphere plug in my AE folder/even though its pro6.5) ill keep your input in mind for the next situation that pops up. thanks mylenium
