  Audio not copying to timeline

  Briefly, I have premiere pro 5.5 and I am a newbie.

  I have a clip on the timeline and I have accidentally overwritten the audio. I deleted the overlaying audio and it has all gone, as you would expect.

  so I have gone back to the clip in the browser window as I am in a position to re insert and the video does, but the audio does not come with it.

  I have had this problem before.

  so second question, if I have a clip and want to insert it into a new track how do I do so because I cannot get it to do it.
