  Images change to GENERIC icon after using in Premiere Pro CS6

  Once I have imported JPG or PNG image into Premiere Pro, they revert to GENERIC ICON in the original folder. Show in ICON PREVIEW is checked, but I can no long see image in folder. I am using Macbook Pro and PS CS6.
  Apple have advised me it is an Adobe / Premiere Pro “issue”

  In Premiere’s options, there is a checkbox for “Write XMP ID to file” which writes a small universal ID piece of metadate to some file types – mostly to track if that asset has a rendered copy in the render cache.

  This is the only option that directly modifies certain files when being opened in Premiere.
