PP CC 2014.1 problems
Hello!
Have been working with PP CC 2014 since it was released without any problems. Today I updated to 2014.1. Now when I try to open my old 2014 projects in 2014.1 Premiere crashes. Any ideas why?
Also if I start a new project in PP 2014.1 and import an MXF file the program crashes.
So now I have to redo all my projects in PP CC.
I´m on Windows 7 with a HP ZBook.

We also had a lot of problems after the 2014.1 update, and all were solved simply by making sure that all plugins, especially those from Red Giant, were updated to the newest versions.
May not solve your issue, but it’s a good place to start.

I have just downloaded PP 2014.1 on a Mac Pro running 10.9.5 and it crashes constantly, even on new projects.
Additionally, it cannot save comments on markers I make to clips in the source window. If I make a marker,
then add a comment and/or name to that marker, then save the project, close the project, quit PP and then reopen, the comments are not saved.To make matters worse, I get duplicate markers in my markers windows, but without the comments. When I try to delete these markers, either with the keyboard command or from the menu, PP freezes and crashes.
Very disappointed and frustrated. First time I feel like Adobe has totally dropped the ball. Have wasted an entire day. This bullshit is costing me money.

Carlos are you working with an i/o device?
I’ve seen crashing in 2014.1 with some AJA devices (esp. the TTap) — waiting for a driver update from AJA (hopefully soon!)

I did the update and starting a new project today Premiere Pro 2014.1 stops working when attempting to add a media file
I went to a project from last weekend, but it asks to upgrade to the newer project format, finishes, shows the timeline and then crashes.Writing this while I’m doing updates, hopefully it all clears up.
I like cats, especially with General Tso’s sauce

Yes 2014.1 is a new project format version, incompatible with 2014.0.x.
You can always uninstall 2014.1 and re-install 2014.0.1.
Are you using AJA or Blackmagic video IO device(s)? I’d be interested to know if disconnecting/uninstalling them lets the application run without crashing.

I am in the same boat. I am using an AJA t-tap however it is not the issue because not using it still wreaks havoc on my project. Constant freezing and crashing. Even Filmimpact transitions causing issues. I fixed the permissions folder issue that apparently was a culprit – only difference now, after a crash it pops up the dialogue box to send comments to Adobe wasn’t doing that before. Still full of issues.
What a disappointment. I specifically upgraded (own CS6) to get the offset sync feature to use with AJA T-Tap but still not getting the full use of software, constantly having to restart. And this is a 3 minute video! -

When you say “not using it,” have you uninstalled the AJA Adobe Plug-in and the AJA TTap driver, or just disconnected the t-tap?
In my case, running with the TTap disconnected or just disabling Mercury Transmit did not resolve the crashing. Uninstalling the plug-in entirely did.

I have it unplugged that is all. It pains me to have to uninstall and not even use, I rely on my Panny Broadcast monitor for preview etc. Sounds to me that the t-tap driver in that case is the culprit.
This is upsetting.
Are you aware of any updates etc?
