Premiere Pro CC 2014 – Can not drag any audio to the timeline
Hi all, I am having an issue with Premiere Pro where if I drag any video clips that have audio as well, the audio does not move across and I get the arrow with ‘denied’ symbol next to it. Here is a clip to better illustrate my point:

As you can see, if i try to drag both the audio/video over, only the video goes. If it try to drag only the audio over, it is denied. With the Wav music piece, that drags over just fine. And if I make a new timeline from a video/audio clip the audio IS in the timeline but after that I can not drag any more audio into the timeline, EVEN the audio from the clip that I made the timeline from…

So I have uninstalled PP CC 2014 and installed PP CC 7.2.2 instead. This one works fine. As a test I reinstalled the 2014 version along side v7.2.2 to see if it makes a difference, but audio still doesn’t work in CC 2014.
Oddly when uninstalling the 2014 version I noticed that it is only 1.54gb, where as the older 7.2.2 version is 2.22gb… Are these the sizes you are getting?
Does anyone else also have this issue?

I’m having this issue as well.On Mountain Lion, it worked just fine but now I’ve upgraded to Yosemite, I am having exactly the same issue as you.
Have you found a solution to this problem?

Having the same problem on MacBook Pro OSX Yosemite 10.10.2 and CC 2014 v8.1
It was working yesterday then just stopped.
Had this problem before and uninstalled then reinstalled the program and it seemed to go away, but doing that everytime seems ridiculous.
Any solutions? Did I press the wrong button or something?

Adobe likes to update it’s layout and functioning every so often – and it can be very frustrating if you “didn’t get the memo”. In this case, you lost likely need to activate your Source Patching For Inserts And Overwrites. If this is not active (highlighted) it will not drag audio in with your video, and vise versa. Hope this helps!

I’ve just edited for 3 days (1hr and 5 mins of tiny 2/3 second clips all arranged on the timeline) and i did so where I couldnt see the audio tracks (to maximise on timeline video space) and I’ve just finished and reset the timeline dimensions and I now see that all of the clips where I selected audio as well (probably about half of all of the clips) the audio didnt drag down for!! Unbelievable!

I had this same problem a few months ago and found that exact solution. Until you know the solution, it can be very aggravating.
