Trying to add a video-effect instantly instead of slowly with keyframes (I’m new)
Hi there, this is my first post here, although I’ve already benefited from reading old topics.
Since I’ve found a lot of useful advice so far and am stumped on the post-production of movie, I hoped somebody here could help me.
I’ll tell you what I’m doing and how I’m trying to do it.
I’m probably not doing things the smart way, so if you have any tips they’re greatly appreciated.There is a bit of dancing and every time someone claps, I want to increase the brightness.
I’m using the video effects and have added first markers, then keyframes at the precise clapping moments.
I’ve succeeded in changing the brightness at these key moments, but right now it does so gradually.Is there any way to do so instantly? Right now the only solution I see is doubling the keyframes.

If you want an abrupt change, you will need two key frames right next to each other (probably one frame apart). The first key frame (1) will have the default values, the second frame (2) has the new settings. At the next clap, you will need a new key frame with the same settings as key frame 2, and then one frame later a keyframe with new settings.
