  split screen TV scanlines on one side?

  Further to Ann Bens method of creating TV Scan lines, does anyone know how to create that on only one half of a split screen as in this clip?

  

  I’ve created a clip on 2 separate tracks and placed the scanline transparency on another track above. I was hoping to be able to switch of the effect on one side but the transparency doesn’t have any effects controls and therefore affects both sides.

  If it’s the exact same clip and only the effect on one, then use the crop tool and crop half the screen to right or left side. You should then only see half your screen with the effect.
