  Mac Pro Continuing Problems with Open CL Fire Pro 500

  I have 4k Pro Res 444 footage over a RAID 10 8bay Areca via Thunderbolt to a 16gb / Fire Pro 500 Mac Pro. I Just update to 10.9.4– It seemed to really fix some of the problems. Just not this one.

  I am working on an HD time line and scaling and repositioning the footage. The problem is that the Program Monitor only shows the correct scale paused. On play back it plays the video at 100%. I did a test and can confirm that it is the correct scaling on export, it’s just not displaying correctly in the Program Monitor. It is playing fine, and even really fast and snappy minus this one glitch– which is important cause there is a lot of match cutting.

  Anyone else having this issue or something similar.
  I have tried changing the cache files and restoring and making new peak files. But nothing seems to fix it.

  I spent a frustrating hour with an adobe tech on the phone trying to address the problem. He was more interested in reiterating about 10 times this is AMD’s problem, not Adobes, or Apples. His final “fix” the problem is to not use open CL… So not really fix. Should have stayed with PC, never again apple.
